The BYO Chamber Players is a performance group comprised of principal chair members of the CHAMBER ORCHESTRA with special performances throughout the season in addition to the BYO performance schedule.
Members of the Chamber Players must sign a contract with the BYO confirmed their commitment to their principal chair and extra commitments.
The Chamber Players rehearse some Saturday’s from 12:00pm-2:30pm. Other rehearsal times are arranged based on the musicians and director’s schedule. The Chamber Players DO NOT rehearse every Saturday.
Past performances of the Chamber Players have included the Bremen Jewish Heritage Museum, The Buckhead Business Association, the Starlight Children’s Foundation, the Consumer’s Choice Awards for Business Excellence, and the Atlanta Symphony Associates Decorators’ Show House. The Buckhead Youth Chamber Orchestra will be for advanced students currently enrolled in grades 9-12. Exceptions to age may be made based on musical ability.
The Chamber Orchestra rehearses Saturday’s from 3:00pm to 6:00pm with the exception of sectionals, where rehearsal begins at 2:00pm instead of 3:00pm.
The Chamber Orchestra performs a series of 4 orchestral concerts throughout the season, in addition to chamber music performances and concerts featuring concerto competition winners. For more information, see SCHEDULE.
The Buckhead Youth String Orchestra will be for intermediate to advance level students in grades 8 and below.
Exceptions to age may be made based on musical ability.
The String Orchestra rehearses Saturday’s from 12:00pm to 2:30pm.

The BYO Harp Ensemble, now in its second season with the Buckhead Youth Orchestra, is an exciting program for young harpists in Atlanta.
Open to ages, the BYO Harp Ensemble has both pedal harps and C-harps.
The BYO Harp Ensemble performs with the BYO Chamber Players, the BYO Chamber Orchestra, in addition to performing works for harp ensemble.

A program is specially designed for introductory and intermediate developmental music education of stringed instrument studies with concentration on basic techniques of bowing, fingering and playing skills. Placement of musicians into the orchestras or ensembles is based upon musical ability.
